I never had a doula for my first 2 pregnancies and wasn't sure if I would truly need one for my 3rd, but I am so glad I did. I assumed I knew how my labor was gonna go and my hubris got the best of me. Miriam was by my side the whole time and taught me things I didn't know that could have helped my 1st labors. She was wonderful and supportive. She worked along side my husband to make me feel loved, protected and strong. I could go on and on about how wonderful this whole experience was. If you are searching for a doula I highly recommend this woman and her services. You won't regret it. 10 stars!

My husband and I hired Miriam in the second trimester and she was completely onboard to attend our planned home birth. Upon first meeting, we were immediately drawn to her and enjoyed all our prenatal meetings as we got to know her better and plan for the birth together. Well, the time came and after days of laboring on and off, I decided to transfer to the hospital. The birth experience was not at all what I had planned or hoped for. Though I still struggle with that, I'm so incredibly thankful I had Miriam's loving support and encouragement through it all. She validated my feelings and encouraged me when my mind was so exhausted and discouraged that I truly felt I wouldn't make it through. There aren't enough words to express my deep gratitude. She also took photos and videos, which was the last thing on my mind, and I am so glad to have them now. Coming from someone who would describe their labor as a long and grueling one, whose birth plan changed drastically, and whose postpartum experience also got off to a rocky start, Miriam's constant support was invaluable. I don't know what we would have done without her, and I will forever feel indebted to her.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Miriam’s support during the birth of our daughter. As a father, watching my wife go through such an intense experience, it meant everything to have someone as knowledgeable, calm, and compassionate as Miriam by our side. She went above and beyond, staying with us until 3 a.m. when our daughter had to be admitted to the NICU, making sure we felt supported and prepared for what was happening. Miriam’s dedication, warmth, and professionalism made an emotional night so much easier to navigate. We can’t recommend her highly enough!

I had a great time working with Miriam for the birth of my first. She gave great education prior to the birth and went through a list of preferences so she knew what kind of birth I was hoping for. After I learned I had gestational hypertension, I was induced a couple days later at 37 weeks. Miriam was the most helpful person to explain to me what the process could look like what options I would presented with. It gave me a lot of peace in an anxious situation that was not "plan A." Miriam was great at communicating and keeping touch during the process, and came swiftly when we called her after my waters were broke. She was respectful of my wishes during labor and got amazing photos and moments of my daughter's birth which I'll cherish forever. She stayed after the birth and gave great postpartum support and help. Miriam is a kind, gentle spirit who is helpful and great at communicating, clear at setting expectations for her services, and faithful at delivering supportive work to mothers. I highly recommend HTM doula services if you are looking for a great Christian doula.
